What is life without purpose?
What is a well lived life without living in and fulfilling one's purpose?
In the last few weeks, I know two people who passed away tragically, and suddenly. No warning, no time to prepare, no expectations, out of the blue in seconds - Gone!
The recurrent rhetoric after their passing was praises for the way each lived their lives, the impact they made on those whom they knew, and what they were able to accomplish in their lifetimes.
It was like a comfort for those left behind that each passionately pursued their purpose and were willing givers of their time, resources, advice, a listening ear when needed and providing unselfish motivation to those within the scope of their reach.
Human existence is short, it's temporary, and it's given to each one of us for a purpose.
As the late Dr. Myles Munro said, "God didn't make anything for beauty, every single thing serves an ultimate purpose."
The Bible tells us the Lord works out everything to its end.
Our beginning and our end are already designed by God, but our gift of choice will determine what paths we take and if we fulfill our purpose.
Bottom line is.....we really do not have forever to do what we were created to do.
We should get into the habit of considering our mortality, we are here for a season and for a reason.
We were born in our time to elevate the world using the gifts and talents we are endowed and blessed with.
It's something I myself have consciously had to learn that every single person is born with a gifts and talents to be used by God for his purpose. Everybody has their own unique blend of strengths and it is imperative that that be respected.
We tend to see people who do not have capabilities we take for granted as lacking and inadequate. Not true. We are all manifested from one great source and He makes no mistakes. He is a God of order and power. Therefore if we are made in his image as the word says, then there is an order, power and purpose filled meaning to our existence.
But what does it really feel like to live and walk in your purpose on a daily basis?
How does that really feel?
I pose the question because I am on that path to full self discover and manifestation myself.
So I know clearly what it feels to be out of alignment. There is no mistaking the inner feeling of dread knowing that what you're doing is really not what you were designed to do.
Even if the details of the design are not crystal clear in your mind, you know when something "does not feel right".
Then to the contrast, you know exactly when something does feel true to your spirit.
You feel lifted.
You feel a sense of fulfillment.
You feel a sense of peace.
You feel a sense of flow.
And we each know the core things that make us feel this way.
There are things which we repeatedly think about that gives us joy; activities that we get involved in that anchor in us as true.
Feelings of "I could do this forever, benefit others, not be compensated for it but feel deep fulfillment."
We all have those things that come naturally to us that without even thinking too hard, we are able to create and share and do while others appreciate and even marvel.
Deep inside, we know these things.
The trouble is they are not always the most immediately convenient or relatable to maybe friends or family who may dismiss it as wishful thinking.
But what if every person on earth simply did what they were best at and what they were born to do?
What an amazing world that would be!
Everyone living in their gifts, living their full potential, focusing on their strengths and giving to the world from their unique positions of powerful, simple, God-given strengths.
What an amazing world that would be.
It would eliminate so much of the confusion, the panic, the worry, the wasted efforts, the feelings of lack and fears of non accomplishment.
All of that would be gone, because everyone's best would be served to the world. Everyone's best.
The best writers would come forth, the best designers, the best doctors, the best teachers, the best artists, the best vocalists, the best cooks, the best farmers, the best strategists, the best counselors, the best builders.... the best of everything.
It would be a irresistibly beautiful world.
What if from the start, we were all trained to think that way and live that way?
We would be taught to spend time discovering what our gifts truly are, mastering them and serving the world with excellence and fulfillment because it would simply be our pleasure to fulfill our purpose and do so.
It would take a whole restructuring of our global consciousness to do....but maybe one day this will be the normal reality.
I want to encourage us all to be open to the leading of the Spirit of God in our paths to self discovery and self-actualization.
With quiet reflection and a spirit of obedience, we should trust our visions, our ideas which are in keeping with God's will when it benefits and uplifts others.
We should always remember to commit our plans to God when we do see a vision, a powerful "this could be". As the late Dr. Munroe also said the plans are for us as humans to make and document, commit to God and according to his will he will establish the way.
Exercise that faith muscle. Live in faith and obedience to God as a part of your daily existence. Trust Him to direct your steps as you ask Him to use you to fulfill the purpose you were created for.
Live powerfully and boldly knowing that your life is purpose driven 100%.
"There is no such thing as an unimportant day."
I read that statement somewhere and it stuck in my mind.
No such thing as an unimportant day,
so, no such thing as an unimportant hour,
an unimportant minute,
an unimportant second.
No such thing.
Our time and out energy are our most valuable resources and every day that passes and we are alive is another one to live in gratitude to our Creator by seeking to fulfill our ultimate purpose and serve the world with inner , true, aligned integrity.
We have to be true to ourselves.
Live purposefully.
Live fully.
Live in purpose, on purpose.
Everyone living in their gifts, living their full potential, focusing on their strengths and giving to the world from their unique positions of powerful, simple, God-given strengths.
