We all want to be our best, acquire the best and experience the best of life. Anybody, at their core, even if they self-describe as "not overly ambitious", will always want better. A better income, a better meal, better value for money, the best spouse, better grades, more love - whatever it means to attain a personal level of greater success. This is our expectation of what is normal, and anyone not wanting truly wanting more fulfillment, or aspiring for their best would probably be seen by most as wasting time.
But what does it take to achieve, acquire and experience the best?
How must the best be attained?
How must the best come to us?

It's a question I have sincerely sought an answer for, because I expect the best in everything.
But a thought came to me recently, yes I expect the best, but to receive the best, I must also make sure that I am giving my best first. It must begin with the inner work before it can be harnessed from outside.
The quality of service I give to others, the quality of my energetic output, the care with which I serve God, my family,
and the full ambit of my external community, will decide what will flow back to me.
I had never really considered this idea at the core in terms of acquiring wealth or goal achievement or self actualization. It was always more of a how hard do I need to work to make sure that I am doing all the "right steps", getting the "right information", going to the "right places", checking off all the right "to-do's".
In all honesty, for me it was never really a conscious thought of "how should I serve others best?" It was more "Am I doing what I need to do to follow all the steps?" - and that should be enough!
But lately, after more careful thinking, and dedicating more time to real self development, it has become more clear that a life of real value is one where you simply give your best to all to serve others.
The reciprocal flow of abundance to you will take care of itself once you begin to live life in this manner. Give love, care more about people, be kind and watch more love flow back to you. Give others the best value you can, and watch life reward you and those around you.
It's like a beautiful ebb and flow in life, which I feel is so amazing to experience, and makes life so much more fulfilling.
Tony Robbins, one of my all time favorite and most inspirational thought leaders has a quote he loves:
"The secret to living is giving."
So simple, so powerful, and so true.
The Bible in Luke 6:38 says :
Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured
back to you.”
Most of us, if not religious have heard of karma, what goes around comes around.
Another way I've heard it phrased, whatever you put out into the universe, that is the energy that is returned to you.
I take this all to mean, if we want the best, if we want to live our best lives, with real, meaningful success and sincere fulfillment then we must give and serve at our true best.
Our best service and gifts to others, may be expressed in different ways, but it should be a full 360 degree approach to all the categories of our life:
How best can I truly serve God?
What is the best way to add value where I can?
How can I best nurture and love my family?
How best can I treat my body for optimal health and performance?
What is the best way I can use my skills, talents, and time?
What is the best way to be resourceful and productive?
Who are the best people I can learn from and grow with?
What are the best ways to feed my mind?
What is the best way to optimize my home and physical environment?
What is the best way to make my love felt?
What is the best way to make an sincere, positive impact on someone else's life?
How can I best manage my time and my energy?
How can I best serve humanity to the best of my abilities?
How can I be my best today?
